After pregnancy, Pilates is very suitable for rebuilding the muscles that have been weakened by pregnancy. This can be done after a natural birth without complications from 6/8 weeks, with complications from 8/10 weeks, after a caesarean section from 10/12 weeks. Depending on the situation, it is also possible to join the basic lessons. The focus in the training after childbirth is initially on the mother and her deep abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. Often the feeling for your own body has changed considerably after the birth of a child. Muscles that were easy to control before pregnancy seem to have disappeared. It takes some attention and patience to regain the necessary control and awareness of these muscles. The targeted training of the deep abdominal muscles and the pelvic floor muscles has a strong preventive effect on any problems that may occur later, such as incontinence and back pain.
Mama recovery & baby class is a fusion of mat Pilates with different materials and Reformer Pilates. The lessons provide a stable basis so that you can also take up other sports responsibly. We give advice on what to do/not to do so soon after giving birth.
